Obstacle rail for the riding arena | Alfako
When it comes to obstacles for the riding arena, the question arises as to how best to place the poles on the obstacle stands. In the case of wooden obstacle stands, attaching an obstacle rail is particularly suitable. An obstacle rail is used for the stable and simple construction of an obstacle.
We explain what exactly an obstacle course rail is, how they are attached, what they are made of, how long they are and how much you should expect to pay for an obstacle course rail.
What is an obstacle course rail?
A course obstacle rail is attached to an obstacle stand to facilitate the placement of a pole. All obstacle rails have a keyhole system into which the pole supports are inserted. This makes it easy to vary the height of the poles on the obstacle.
How are obstacle rails fixed?
Most obstacle rails are attached by screwing them onto the obstacle stand. In some cases, the purchased obstacle rail can also be attached to the obstacle stand using a plug-in system. In both cases, however, it is a matter of quick assembly. Which mounting method you choose depends on your needs.
How long is an obstacle rail?
An obstacle rail is available in lengths of 50 cm, 75 cm and 150 cm. How long the obstacle rail needs to be for you depends firstly on how high the obstacle rail is to which you want to attach the rail and secondly on how many keyholes you need for the bar supports.
What material are obstacle rails made of?
Obstacle rails are usually made of plastic or metal. The plastic obstacle rail has the advantage that it is weather-resistant and easy to clean. Therefore, they can be ideally stored outside. A rail made of metal is more expensive, but more durable.
How expensive are obstacle rails?
Individual obstacle rails cost between €5 and €20 on average. In some online shops, the obstacle rails are offered separately and sometimes immediately in packages of 5 or 10. The price of course depends on the material chosen, the length and the quantity of the obstacle rails.
Which obstacle rail do we have on offer from Alfako?
Our Alfako obstacle rail with keyhole system is attached to the obstacle stand with screws. It is made of hot-dip galvanised black plate and is 150 cm long. Due to the high-quality material, the obstacle rail is very resistant and has a high quality.
