Obstacle stands are a frame for storing obstacle poles. The stand for obstacle poles is particularly suitable if courses or obstacles are frequently set up and dismantled in the riding arena or indoor arena. When the poles are not needed, they can be stored on the obstacle stand in the meantime.
Obstacle stands are available in different types, heights, materials and prices and are a useful storage option for show jumpers. Robust obstacle stands ensure safe storage without falling over when poles are placed on them or taken down.
When do you use obstacle stands?
Obstacle stands are used to set up obstacles and courses at show jumping events or for everyday training. Obstacle stands are available in different versions so that it is possible to store different numbers of poles on them. With the help of the obstacle stands, it is possible to set up and dismantle obstacles in a very short time.
If you opt for low obstacle stands, even children are able to assemble and dismantle obstacles themselves. Obstacle stands are available either with stable feet as a double-sided transport frame or as a single-sided frame for wall mounting.
How high are obstacle stands?
Obstacle stands are between 1.20 metres and 1.50 metres high. The low obstacle stands with a height of 1.20 metres are suitable for storing around 60 poles and the higher ones with a height of 1.50 metres are suitable for storing around 120 poles. The height of the respective obstacle stands differs in the number of brackets for the poles lying on them. Double-sided obstacle racks have more storage space than single-sided racks.
What material are obstacle stands made of?
Most obstacle stands are made of galvanised sheet steel. The advantage of galvanised sheet steel is that it is very robust, has a high level of stability and is not susceptible to rust due to the galvanisation. Its durability and weather-resistant properties make the obstacle stand a practical helper - both indoors and outdoors.
The material of the obstacle stand also offers a high degree of flexibility, which is why some obstacle stands can be folded up. Depending on the design of the stand, the feet can be folded up and either hung on the wall or transported from A to B. Galvanised sheet steel also ensures that the wooden poles are not damaged.
How much does an obstacle stand cost?
An obstacle stand costs between 150 euros and 1200 euros. The exact price depends on the height of the obstacle stand and the number of stirrups. Low, single-sided obstacle stands with only 3 stirrups cost less than high, double-sided obstacle stands with 8 stirrups.
When buying obstacle stands, however, it should be noted that you will also pay high shipping costs due to the size. In addition to the above-mentioned price, the shipping costs are between 70 and 100 euros. All obstacle stands are supplied without obstacle poles, which is why the price increases by a further 20 - 85 euros per pole.
