The feed bin can be locked and is mobile on 4 movable 100 mm solid rubber wheels. Optionally, it is possible to order the feed bin with larger diameter wheels. Either 160 mm solid rubber wheels or pneumatic wheels with a diameter of 200 mm.
Feed containers for horses prevent open feed bags from standing on the floor or in the tack room and taking up a lot of space. A feed container is a large trolley in which several types of feed can often be stored. In most cases, these types of feed are separated from each other by partitions.
Feed containers are a helpful aid in everyday stable life and are used for the clean storage of different types of horse feed. Thanks to the wheels under most feed containers, transporting the container and feeding your animals is made easier.
Feed containers are an ideal solution for keeping your horse's feed clean and tidy. Thanks to the feed container, you no longer have to store the open feed bags or sacks on the floor. This prevents the feed bags from tipping over and the feed from becoming dirty or damp.
Feed containers are containers of various sizes in which the horse feed can be stored and tightly sealed with a lid. Thanks to the airtight lid, the feed stays fresh and vitamins and nutrients can be preserved. The smaller feed containers are mainly made of plastic, while the larger ones are made of metal.
Feeders have an average size of between 54 cm and 67 cm in height and up to 180 cm in width. The width of the feeders varies, as there are both round and square feeders. Some feeders have wheels and some are subdivided into 2 to 4 compartments on the inside. The subdivision is used to store several types of feed.
There are various types of feed bins, which differ not only in terms of material (plastic or metal) but also in terms of size and features, such as wheels or partitions for greater flexibility. There is also a so-called feed bin, which also enables ideal storage of the feed.
The small feed containers are used to store a small amount of feed between 140 and 200 litres. A large feed container has space for feed quantities of between 200 and 700 litres. Small feed containers usually only have one large compartment in the centre and large feed containers have 1 to 4 compartments. Both feed containers are equipped with a lid for clean storage and are available with or without wheels.
The feed containers with wheels under the container are designed for easy mobility and allow the feed container to be moved from box to box in the barn. This gives you the option of filling several feed troughs or just one. The wheels on the feed container allow you to push the feed container directly to the trough and not to pour the horse feed first from the container into a bucket and then into the horse trough.
Feed containers with dividers are ideal for storing different types of feed in the container. The dividers in the feed container allow you to feed several horses with different feed requirements without the feed types mixing. Dividers are also suitable if the needs of your individual horse require different concentrates for one meal.
A feed bin with a lockable lid is perfect for both large and small quantities of feed, as the feed bin is available in many different sizes. For horse feed, it is advisable to buy a large feed bin, as an ordinary single horse feed bag already has a capacity of 25 kg. Feed bins do not have wheels and are therefore particularly suitable for storing feed in the corner of the tack room.
A feed container for horses can hold between 100 and 600 litres. Depending on how large the feed bags are, the volume of the feed container must also be adjusted. We always recommend buying a larger feed container so that as much feed as possible can be stored neatly. This way, there is no need to regularly top up the feed.
