What are articulated lorries made of?

Saddle trolleys are made from various materials, such as wood, plastic or metal. The material to be selected for the saddle trolley depends on the intended use and personal preferences. Your own budget and personal requirements for the trolley play an important role in the choice of material.

Saddle trolleys made of metal, such as steel or aluminium, are robust and durable thanks to galvanisation or powder coating. Metal saddle trolleys offer a high load capacity and are suitable for transporting numerous accessories. Saddle trolleys made of plastic are lightweight yet sturdy. Plastic saddle trolleys are weather-resistant, easy to clean and manoeuvrable.

Wooden saddle caddies are in most cases handmade, offer a warm aesthetic and are available in various designs. Wooden saddle trolleys are not as weather resistant as a metal or plastic saddle trolley. How big are articulated lorries?

In most cases, saddle trolleys are 80 cm to 120 cm high, between 47 cm and 85 cm wide and 50 cm to 60 cm deep. The larger a trolley is, the more space it has for additional accessories. If you opt for a large saddle caddy, you should check the manufacturer's maximum load capacity before buying.
