Stable racks for the horse stable are an ideal aid to enable the tidy storage of riding equipment in the tack room. Stable racks can be used in a variety of ways, as you can store all types of equipment, they are available in different materials and they offer numerous advantages.

Stable shelves are ideal for storing important accessories that require daily access. At Alfako, we offer two different types of stable shelving in our range. We sell shelves for storing equipment and shelves for storing and drying saddle and horse rugs.

What can you store in stall shelves?

Stable shelves can be used to store all kinds of riding equipment such as grooming kit, fly spray, gaiters and horse rugs. Riding equipment such as riding boots and riding caps have their place on stable shelves. Stable shelves can be used to store horse feed, treats, mineral supplements, small feed bags and buckets.

In addition to grooming equipment, it is possible to safely store shampoo, horse ointments and medication on stable shelves. Safety equipment such as a first aid kit can be stored on stable shelves. Everything that should not be stored on the floor is stored on stable shelves.

What material are stable shelves made of?

Stable shelves are usually made of steel to ensure that stable shelves are durable and can withstand any temperature. A steel shelf is very robust and so stable that it can withstand heavy loads. Steel shelving does not rust quickly and is easy to clean.

If the steel on the hutch rack is hot-dip galvanised, it is corrosion-resistant, also suitable for damp environments, has an even higher load-bearing capacity and protects the rack permanently from external influences. The material for the stable shelf should be selected depending on the accessories to be stored, the weight of the equipment, the humidity at the storage location and the storage location itself.

What are the advantages of barn shelving?

The benefits of barn racks are that they allow for better organisation and increased hygiene. Stall racks offer an improved drying process of equipment, quick access to important accessories and equipment longevity.

The following list shows all the advantages of barn shelving in detail.

• Better organisation: Stable shelves offer better organisation, as the riding equipment and each accessory has its own place on the shelf. Accessories can be found more quickly on stable shelves when they are needed in the stable.

Shelf for the horse stable

The horse stable shelf can be used universally. Our horse stable shelf is 2 m high, 1 m wide and has a depth of 40 cm. The horse stable shelf has a total of 5 compartments for storage and is characterised by its easy assembly. Our stable shelf has a load capacity of up to 100 kg due to the steel.  

Stand for saddle and horse rugs

Our rack for saddle and horse rugs is ideal for storing and/or drying saddle pads and any other rugs. The blanket rack is easy to assemble and is available in blue, green and silver. The stable shelf is 2 metres high, 1.46 metres wide and 43 cm deep. There is space for up to 12 saddle rugs on the stable rug rack.
