Add to basketTournament lockers are an optimal way to take the necessary equipment and gear with you on the road. Tournament lockers with wheels already attached are particularly suitable for this purpose.
In the following article, we explain what material tournament cabinet wheels are made of, what advantages pneumatic wheels have, what diameter they have and what types of wheels there are for tournament cabinets.
Tournament cabinet wheels are in most cases made of solid rubber and are pneumatic wheels. This means that the wheels are filled with air. The rim inside the wheel can be chosen freely. Nylon rims or steel rims are mainly suitable here.
The advantages of pneumatic wheels for tournament cabinets are that they are quiet and very resilient. Pneumatic wheels also ensure that the tournament cabinet can be pushed effortlessly even on uneven surfaces. Thus, tournament cabinets with wheels can be optimally steered over paths as well as over grass.
The advantages of hard solid rubber wheels for tournament cabinets are that they are puncture-proof, virtually maintenance-free, have a high load-bearing capacity and very low wear.
Wheels for a tournament cabinet usually cost between 35 € and 130 €. It depends on the diameter of the tournament cabinet wheels, i.e. how big the wheels are. The larger the wheels, the higher the costs. The material of the rim also plays an important role when it comes to the price.
Competition cabinet wheels have a diameter of 160 mm to 260 mm. How much diameter you need in wheels depends on the size of your show cabinet and how many accessories and riding equipment you will be storing inside the show cabinet. The more contents you store in the show cupboard, the more the wheels of the cupboard have to withstand.
Tournament cabinets usually have two types of wheels attached: Steering wheels and rigid wheels. The two steering wheels are movable and ensure optimal and easy steering of the tournament cabinet when pushing it. They are usually equipped with a parking brake that prevents the tournament cabinet from rolling away.
Rigid wheels are also called fixed castors. They are the two wheels on the tournament cabinet that cannot be moved back and forth and ensure that it is easy to drive straight ahead.
We offer 7 different types of pneumatic wheels for the tournament cabinet in our Alfako range. They are always supplied in a pack of 4.
All wheels are suitable for our MIDI tournament cabinets from Alfako. The four swivel wheels and the two swivel and two fixed wheels with a 260 mm diameter also fit our MAXI tournament cabinets.
